Roy Base (left) led Midwest State to their Cinderalla-esque championship. In the GCBA Championship Tournament, Base averaged 27.25 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game, while shooting 56% from the floor. He was subsequently named to the All-GCBA First team, and GCBA Player of the Year. Shortly after the title game, Roy declared himself eligible for the WBA rookie draft, where he is reportedly expected to be picked 4th by the Nebraska Sun Warriors.
